Love it or list it? The homeowners decide to stay and renovate their closed-in kitchen. Without a need for a formal dining and living room the wall between the kitchen falls revealing new possibilities for existing square footage! In selecting a space with two working islands, the clients were able to sub-divide the open concept. The large soapstone island counter lives closer within the kitchen, with prep-space for cooking across from casual conversation on barstools. A high gloss, deep teal island farther delineates the kitchen from the dining area, providing buffet space when company calls and extra storage.
